Abstract

The invention discloses a pineapple leaf extract which is prepared by the following steps: (1) putting pineapple leaves in acetone, performing ultrasonic extraction, filtering to obtain filter residues, repeatedly extracting the filter residues for 1-2 times, combining the filtrates; (2) performing reduced pressure concentration of the filtrates obtained in step (1), and performing freeze drying to obtain the product. The invention also discloses an application of the pineapple leaf extract in preparation of a sunscreen cream. The pineapple leaf extract of the invention is a pure natural plant extract, has a light green color, not only has excellent sunscreen performance, but also can meet demands of people with respect to safety, green, and environment protection. The extract can be used as a sunscreen agent in sunscreen cosmetics.
