experiment example
[0049] Experimental example: Due to the complicated operation and long learning curve of PAO surgery, the incidence of complications is as high as 6%-37% when the operation is performed according to the traditional method. In the first 20-50 cases, the incidence of complications is even higher. Hussel et al. conducted statistics on the complications of 508 patients undergoing PAO surgery in the early stage and found that 2.5% of them entered the joint during osteotomy; 1.2% of posterior column rupture; 0.6%-1% of femoral nerve and sciatic nerve injury. We applied the designed template to cadaver experiments (10 cases in total) and clinical trials (22 cases in total). No osteotomy into the joint or posterior column fracture occurred in any of the 22 clinical cases. None of the 22 clinical cases had nerve or blood vessel injury.
