Abstract

The energy storage module (1) has a module controller (4) for the transmission of suitable torque requirements to a flywheel memory unit (2) for outputting or recording of energy to or from a direct current (DC) voltage intermediate circuit (5). A control system (3) is set to control the DC voltage intermediate circuit so that the direct current remains constant with delivery of energy into an external voltage network and with recording of energy from the external voltage network between an upper threshold value and a lower threshold value. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling energy storage module.
