Abstract

The invention relates to an optical control variable capacitor. The optical control variable capacitor comprises a control part and a photosensitive capacitor; the control part is provided with an LED (Light Emitting Diode) light source, a power supply and a variable resistor, wherein the power supply is used for supplying power to the LED light source; the variable resistor is connected in a power supply circuit; the photosensitive capacitor is provided with a dielectric material layer; the dielectric material layer is made of a photosensitive material having a small polaron effect; a conducting layer and a packaged layer are sequentially arranged at two sides of the dielectric material layer; the conducting layer and the packaged layer at one side or two sides of the dielectric material layer are made of a light transmission material, so that light emitted by the LED light source can irradiate the dielectric material layer through the conducting layer and the packaged layer; and the light intensity of the LED light source is changed by adjusting the resistance value of the variable resistor, so that the dielectric constant of the dielectric material layer is changed. The capacitance of the capacitor can be adjusted through the intensity of irradiation light; and the capacitor can be used as a frequency modulation part of various kinds of electronic devices or can be used for manufacturing a photoelectric detector.
