The resin-based activated carbon ball is prepared from the following materials according to parts by weight: 10-15 parts of m-ethyl phenol, 20-55 parts of formaldehyde, 5-9 parts of triethylamine, 80-120 parts of deionized water, 3-8 parts of polyvinyl alcohol, 10-20 parts of melamine and 10-25 parts of inorganic salt. According to the invention, spherical phenolic resin is synthesized first so as to be used as basic resin for preparing resin-based activated carbon, and then, the resin-based activated carbon is prepared at high temperature under protection of nitrogen.
