The system comprises a first blast furnace (1), a second blast furnace (2), a first fan (3) and a second fan (4), wherein the first fan (3) supplies the first blast furnace (1) with air, and a first check valve (5-1) and a first air supply valve (5-2) are sequentially mounted on an air supply pipeline of the first blast furnace (1); and the second fan (4) supplies the second blast furnace (2) with air, and a second check valve (6-1) and a second air supply valve (6-2) are sequentially mounted on the air supply pipeline of the second blast furnace (2). The automatic blast furnace air adjusting system and air adjusting method have the advantages that the air adjusting system is designed between the air supply pipelines of the two blast furnaces; when one fan fails in supplying air, the air adjusting system allocates one part of air supplied by the fan supplying the other blast furnace with air to the blast furnace with air supply failure so as to ensure that the blast furnace depending on the air supply of the failure fan does not have slags and ensure that all air ducts are repaired without affecting work until all the air ducts are restored; and therefore, the normal production of the blast furnaces is ensured, and safety accidents caused by coal gas backflow and the like are avoided.
