The slope surface is provided with a high-definition digital image capturer which automatically records time. The part, in the photographing view field of the high-definition digital image capturer, of the slope surface is provided with a positioning mark. The high-definition digital image capturer is sequentially connected with a rolling wave recognizer, an image corrector, and a rolling wave parameter calculation controller which is connected with the high-definition digital image capturer. The system employs the high-definition digital image capturer, continuously captures the image of a high-speed moving rolling wave, analyzes a rolling wave in the image through employing the technology of digital image analysis, and obtains all feature parameters of the rolling wave. Because the obtaining, calibration and calculation are completed through a computer, the system, compared with a conventional system, can set a plurality of points in an observation region, can carry out testing and observation at the same time, is wide in view field, and can well solve a problem of the observation of the flowing speed of a thin current in a larger area.
