The circuit breaker is characterized by employing the normal open type SiC power switch tube, and realizing overcurrent protection by detecting the drain-source voltage of the power switch tube; and utilizing the drain-source voltage under a fault state as the input power source of the negative pressure turn-off circuit, and realizing the self-power of the circuit breaker. Compared with a traditional solid state circuit breaker, the solid state circuit breaker of the invention does not need complex functional circuits such as a current detection device, a signal conditioning circuit and an auxiliary source circuit, thereby reducing the loss of the solid state circuit breaker, and increasing the response speed of the solid state circuit breaker.
