Problems solved by technology

[0004] Different from the current epileptic seizure monitoring method that relies on electrophysiological signals, the depth image has the advantages of spatial color independence, and it is easy to divide regions according to distance. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for epileptic seizure monitoring based on depth data and System for efficient and rapid identification of epileptic seizures, robust, device-free, patient-free, and low-cost, applicable both in clinical and home settings

Embodiment Construction

[0086] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0087] In the method of the present invention, firstly, the depth sensor is placed in the room where the epileptic patient is active or used clinically to obtain the depth data set of the epileptic patient, and by proposing joint point acceleration threshold analysis, it is judged whether the patient is likely to have an epileptic seizure, and it is proposed to use the optical flow The method is used to track the trajectory of joint points, and then calculate the velocity of sampling points to realize feature extraction, and obtain the features that can effectively describe the violent limb tremor of the patient's epileptic seizures, and use the support vector machine classification method to identify whether the current patient is having epileptic seizures. If the patient's epileptic seizure is identified, the speaker will emit an alarm sound, the LED will flash the ...

Abstract

The invention discloses an epileptic seizure monitoring method and system based on depth data. The method comprises steps of: acquiring a data source of an epileptic by using a depth sensor; determining whether the epileptic is likely to have as epileptic seizure by analysis of a resultant accelerated speed threshold value of joints; tracking the loci of the joints by using an optical flow method, computing sampling point speed to achieve feature extraction, acquiring a feature capable of describing the drastic vibration of the arms and the legs of the epileptic when the epileptic has an epileptic seizure; identifying whether the current epileptic has an epileptic seizure by using a support vector machine classification method, and if yes, enabling a loudspeaker to give alarm sound, enabling an LED to twinkle, and automatically sending a short message or email via GSM and 4G mobile communication to notify family members. The system comprises a depth data acquisition module, a preanalysis module, an identification module, a data storage module, and an alarm module. The method and the system may accurately and timely monitor the vibration of the arms and the legs of the epileptic having an epileptic seizure, and are insusceptible to environmental changes such as light or the like, fast in detection speed, and good in robustness.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of monitoring, and in particular relates to a method and system for monitoring epileptic seizures based on depth data. Background technique [0002] Epilepsy is a brain dysfunction syndrome. According to the report of the World Health Organization (WHO), the prevalence of epilepsy is between 5.0‰ and 11.2‰, and there are currently about 50 million epilepsy patients in the world. The prevalence of epilepsy in my country is 7.2‰, and there are currently about 9 million epilepsy patients. Seizures are chronic, recurrent, and unpredictable. Once an epilepsy patient develops, if it cannot be treated in time, it may lead to serious consequences such as cerebral edema, respiratory and circulatory failure, and even death. Most epilepsy patients need long-term drug treatment, and long-term frequent drug use can damage the cognitive function of epilepsy patients or bring toxic side effects to other central nervous ...
