[0024] The following detailed description deals with improvements to be included in engine systems such as figure 1 A system and method for purging a fuel vapor canister in an engine system). The engine system may be a boosted engine including a turbine and a compressor. The fuel vapor canister may be coupled to the engine intake via a canister purge valve including a solenoid valve and a sonic choke housed within a common receptacle of the canister purge valve. Fuel vapors stored in the fuel vapor canister may be purged into the intake air of the engine via two paths.
