A motor control apparatus controlling current feeding and a rotational direction of a motor (8) includes: four bridge-circuit switches (SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4) between a high and low potential lines; two current feeding line switches (SW5, SW6) connected through the motor between a first node (N1) and a second node (N2) in series to arrange two parasitic diodes facing each other; a pull-up resistor (41) between the high potential line and a third node (N3); a pull-down resistor between the low potential line and a fourth node (N4) to interpose the motor between the third and fourth nodes; a protective diode (51, 52) blocking current; and a fault diagnostic device (60) having: a driver (62,63) turning on or off the switches; and a voltage determinator (65) determining suitability of a first voltage (V1) and a second voltage (V2) and performing initial fault diagnosis for at least one of the switches.
