Abstract

The invention provides a method and device for transmitting parameters to a kernel based on BootLoader. The method comprises the steps that BootLoader stores hardware parameters to be transmitted to a specific physical memory, and the address information of the physical memory is sent to an operation system, wherein the length of the physical memory does not exceed a preset length threshold, and the length threshold value represents the largest value of the number of hardware parameters transmitted one time; the operation system limits the physical memory to be a non-occupied memory based on the received address information; the operation system reads the hardware parameters stored in the physical memory for executing start, and a mapping relation between the physical address of the physical memory and the logic address in a logic address space of the operation system is built. By applying the method and device, the access frequency of the operation system for a hardware chip is reduced due to the fact that the number of the hardware parameters transmitted by BootLoader, and therefore the start and operation speed of embedded equipment is improved.
