The regenerative amplifier comprises a burst pulse laser signal source for outputting burst pulses, an amplifying system for receiving and amplifying the burst pulses and outputting high-energy burst pulses, an isolation system arranged between the burst pulse laser signal source and the amplifying system and used for preventing the high-energy burst pulses from returning back to the burst pulse laser signal source, and a control system for modulating the burst pulse laser signal source and controlling the amplifying system so as to allow the time domain envelope appearance of the high-energy burst pulses to be adjustable.
