Abstract

The invention discloses an emission waveform and position joint estimation based passive positioning method for multiple emission sources. According to the invention, a mesh search method estimates successively both the waveform of the signals and the position of an emission source from the receiver measurement and after the estimation of the position of a previous emission source and the waveform of the emission signals, the information of the previous emission signal is deleted from the measurement vectors, followed by the updating of the measurement vectors. After that, the mesh search method is used again to position the next emission source. Through the full use of the waveform information of each emission signal, effective positioning can be realized for a plurality of weak emission sources. In addition, the method can be applied to a wide range of waveforms, and can also be directly applied to the high precision positioning of multiple objects of an existing passive radar.
