Abstract

The invention discloses a repair method of the single-phase fault of a cross-linked polyethylene cable. The method includes the following steps that: 1) the fault part of a fault phase is removed, and undamaged single-phase parts at two sides are preserved; 2) the conductor shielding layers, semiconductor layers and cross-linked polyethylene insulation layers of the undamaged single-phase parts are stripped off, conductor parts are exposed; 3) the conductor parts of the undamaged single-phase parts at two sides are connected through using a repair connection tube; 4) insulation recovery is carried out through using a cold shrinkable insulation tube, a semi-conduction belt and silicone grease paste; 5) the end orifices of the insulation tube are coated with waterproof paint, so that waterproofing treatment can be carried out; 6) the repair connection tube is wrapped with a galvanized shielding copper mesh; 7) constant-force springs are installed at two ends of the galvanized shielding copper mesh; 8) the galvanized shielding copper mesh is wrapped with a thermal shrinkable inner sheath; and 9) the thermal shrinkable inner sheath is wrapped with an armoring mesh. A cable repaired by the repair method has good sealing performance and good running conditions.
