Abstract

The invention relates to a thermocouple thermometer and a test method based on MAX31856, and the latest MAX31856 released by Maxim Company is selected as the thermocouple digital converter. The MAX31856 contains a 19-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The MAX31856 features an internal temperature sensor for automatic thermocouple cold-junction compensation. The MAX31856 has a temperature look-up table that supports thermocouples with different graduation numbers, and the temperature look-up table can perform nonlinear correction on the thermocouple temperature data. The invention solves the problem of thermocouple cold junction compensation and the problem of nonlinear correction of thermocouple temperature measurement. The temperature resolution of the thermometer is 0.0078125°C. Thermocouple voltage measurement accuracy is ±0.15%. The thermometer can be used portablely, and can also be connected to a computer to display data in real time, which greatly facilitates the work of engineering and technical personnel and has certain practical value.
