Abstract

The invention relates to the field of nitrification inhibitors, in particular to application of methyl cinnamate serving as a nitrification inhibitor. Pure strain cultivation and soil adding tests prove that the methyl cinnamate is good in nitrification inhibition effect and can be used as the biological nitrification inhibitor. The invention further relates to an agricultural composition which comprises at least one nitrification inhibitor including the methyl cinnamate. When the agricultural composition is applied into soil, N element transformation can be effectively regulated and controlled.
