Abstract

The extended-range-electric-vehicle powersystem and the control method are suitable for a pure electric vehicle with an extended-range device as a second power source. A power regulator formed by a super capacitor and a DC/DC convertor is additionally arranged on a traditional extended-range-device power system structure. The power regulator can provide and absorb transient power, and has the buffering protection effect on a power battery. A control system controls the power regulator according to the vehicle running state, wherein when a vehicle is accelerated, the power regulator can provide the high-order transient power componentto meet the power requirements of the whole vehicle; when the vehicle conducts braking deceleration, the power regulator can absorb the power impact component to prevent the battery from being impacted, the power battery works in the smooth and stable state all the time accordingly, frequent charging and discharging of the power battery are avoided, and the service life of the battery is prolonged.
