Abstract

The invention discloses a medium-voltage flexible direct current tractive power supply system and a controlling method thereof. The tractive power supply system comprises more than one traction powersubstation. The traction power substation comprises a three-phase step-down transformer, a three-phase electric reactor, a voltage source current converter and a first direct current bus which are connected successively. The input end of the three-phase step-down transformer is connected to a three-phase power grid. The positive pole and the negative pole of the output end of the voltage source current converter are connected to the positive pole and the negative pole of the first direct current bus. The positive pole and the negative pole of the first direct current bus are connected to a contact system and a steel rail. The beneficial effects of the medium-voltage flexible direct current tractive power supply system are that the electric energy quality of the system can be greatly improved, the electric phase splitting link is completely eliminated, and the through power supply of the whole traction network is realized. In addition, the system is capable of increasing the power supply distance of the single traction substation, and realizing the renewable energy sources along the railway and the effective utilization of the locomotive regenerative braking energy.
