The method comprises the steps that 1, by utilizing reservoir numerical simulationsoftware, a numerical simulation conceptual model of the bottom water reservoir straight well is established; 2, by utilizing the established numerical simulation conceptual model of the bottom waterreservoir straight well, the quantitative relationship between the water cone drop height and the well shutdown time under all single influence factors is calculated; 3, by utilizing the calculated relationship between the water cone drop height and the well shutdown time under all the single influence factors, a prediction model of the water cone drop height of the bottom water reservoir straightwell under the multiple influence factors is established through multi-element nonlinear regression; and 4, by utilizing the established prediction model of the water cone drop height of the bottom water reservoir straight well, the water cone drop height is calculated. According to the method for predicting the water cone drop height of the bottom water reservoir straight well, the water cone drop height of the bottom water reservoir straight well after high-water-cut well shutdown is determined, so that the well re-opening opportunity of the oil well after anti-coning is reasonably determined, and the economic benefits of well re-opening production are increased.
