Due to the fact that water cannot transmit shear force, the size of the vibrating table is just required to meet the size of the test model, field and fabrication cost are saved, and influence of water wave turn-back on a test phenomenon and a test result can also be avoided. Besides, water disturbance caused by vibration of water tank walls is difficult to eliminate by a test mode of placing the water tank on the vibrating table, and turned-back water waves can be formed by disturbed water to act on the landslide mass model and result in model damage.
