Abstract

The miniaturized optical circulator comprises two polarization splitters and a 45-degree faradayrotator. Light signal of the first optical path, after inputting from a common end, is separated into a first polarization component and a second polarization component through a first polarization beam splitter. The first polarization component firstly passes through a 45-degree faraday rotator and is reflected back after reaching the second polarization beam splitter, and at least sequentiallypasses through the 45-degree faraday rotator and the first polarization beam splitter to reach a receiving end. The second polarization component after being separated arrives at the receiving end atleast through one-time reflection of the first polarization beam splitter. Light signal of a second optical path, after being input from the transmitting end, sequentially passes through the second polarization beam splitter, the 45-degree faraday rotating piece and the first polarization beam splitter and is output by a common end. The device is small in size, convenient to integrate and low in cost.
