Abstract

The converging device comprises an electromagnetic metasurface and a vortex electromagnetic wave generating device; the electromagnetic metasurface comprises five dielectric plates which are sequentially stacked and do not contact each other; the central positions of the upper surfaces of the first dielectric plate, the second dielectric plate, the fourth dielectric plate and the fifth dielectric plate are printed with periodically-arranged M*N square metal patches, wherein M is larger than or equal to 2, and N is larger than or equal to 2; and the upper surface of the third dielectric plate is printed with metal patches with periodically-arranged M*N rectangular slits which are formed through etching; the dielectric plates are fixed through a bracket; the vortex electromagnetic wave generating device is fixed on the central axis of the sides of the dielectric plates on the electromagnetic metasurface, the metal patches being printed on the sides of the dielectric plates; vortex electromagnetic waves generated by the vortex electromagnetic wave generating device enjoy phase compensation by means of equivalent capacitance and inductance generated by mutual resonance between the unit metal patches of the electromagnetic metasurface, so that a plane phase can simulate a spherical phase, and therefore, theconvergence characteristic of the vortex electromagnetic waves can be completed.
