The invention discloses yersinia pseudotuberculosis insecticidal protein as well as an encoding gene and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of genetic engineering and biopesticide. The insecticidal protein is protein consisting of an amino acid sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO:1, or is protein which is obtained by substituting and deleting the amino acid sequence as shown in SEQID NO:1 or inserting one or more animal sequences and has the same activity. The invention also provides the encoding gene, an expression vector and engineering bacteria of the insecticidal protein.The invention also provides a method for separating and purifying the yersinia pseudotuberculosis insecticidal protein. The invention provides application of the protein to an insecticide agent as well as application of the encoding gene of the protein to transformation plants. The invention provides the encoding gene of the insecticidal protein. The insecticidal protein provided by the inventioncan be used for killing lepidoptera pests such as greater wax moth, cotton bollworm, asparagus caterpillar and asiatic corn borer and can improve the insecticidal ability of transgenic crops.
