Abstract

The method comprises the steps that the orthopedic stent is tested according to a structural parameter of the orthopedicstent and a load spectrum of a stent service interval to determine a fatigue life before strengthening of the orthopedic stent; mechanical analysis is performed on the orthopedic stent to determine afailure zone so as to perform laser peening treatment on the failure zone of a sample stent; the fatigue life of the sample stent after strengthening is tested and a preferred thickness is determinedaccording to the fatigue life before strengthening and the fatigue life after strengthening; a processing instruction is generated according to the preferred thickness so as to process the orthopedicstent with the preferred thickness as a processing thickness and perform laser peening treatment on the failure zone to obtain the lightweight orthopedic stent. The method can further reduce overalldimensions of the orthopedic stent without reducing the fatigue life of the orthopedic stent.
