Abstract

The invention discloses an application of SLAMF8 in the preparation of a preparation of a tumor tissue marker or a serum marker for evaluating the prognosis of human neuroglioma, and an application ofthe SLAMF8 as a marker for prognosis evaluation of the human neuroglioma. The invention also provides a method of evaluating clinical prognosis of glioma by using immunity costimulatory molecules. The study finds that the SLAMF8 is highly expressed in the malignant phenotype of the glioma and glioblastoma, and is closely related to the poor prognosis of the glioma; and the high expression of theSLAMF8 is an important marker for the poor prognosis of the glioma. Moreover, the high expression of the SLAMF8 is associated with chemotherapy resistance. The invention suggests that the SLAMF8 affects the microenvironments of the glioma mainly through monocytes and dendritic cells, and is closely related to the immune response. The SLAMF8 can affect the immune function of the glioma, inhibits the immune response of the glioma and promotes inflammatory response. In conclusion, the SLAMF8 can be used as an important prediction marker for the clinical prognosis of the glioma.
