Abstract

The present invention relates to a leave-in hair care composition that enhances hair conditioning and damage prevention while being formulated into a low viscosity product. Specifically, the atomizable leave-in hair care composition comprises: (i) 0.1 to 10 wt% of a cationic cross-linked polymeric conditioning agent comprising monomer units (A) m (B) n (C) p and a cross-linking agent, wherein: (A) is a dialkylaminoalkyl acrylate monomer or its quaternary ammonium or acid addition salt; (B) is a dialkylaminoalkyl methacrylate Ester monomer or its quaternary ammonium or acid addition salt; (C) is a nonionic monomer polymerizable with (A) or (B); m, n and p are independently 0 or greater than 0, but at least one of m or n is 1 or greater than 1; (ii) 0.1 to 10 wt% of a salt; and (iii) about 0.0001 to 0.05 wt% of at least one polyalkylene glycol of formula (I), where R is H or CH 3 , r is an integer of about 2000-25,000; (iv) 60-99.7999wt% of a polar solvent; wherein the weight ratio of the cationic cross-linked polymeric conditioning agent to the salt is about 1:25-25: 1; Wherein, the viscosity of the composition is 10-500cP, measured using a Brookfield viscometer, Spindel #41, at 25°C and 10RPM for 3 minutes.
