Abstract

The invention provides a method and a system for testing the amount of data lost under abnormal power failure. The method includes the following steps: after a preset test time, a fatigue machine cutsoff the power supply to a storage device, and the amount of data transmitted by a data server which has been currently received by a database is recorded; the fatigue machine supplies power to the storage device again to start the storage device; the amount of data stored in the storage device is calculated; and the difference between the amount of data stored in the database and the amount of data stored in the storage device is obtained through comparison. By using the fatigue machine to control the connection and disconnection of power supply to the storage device, abnormal power-off and power-on in practical application scenarios can be conveniently simulated. By recording the difference between the amount of sent data and the amount of received data, the amount of data lost in one abnormal power failure process can be accurately calculated. The method can be executed multiple times to determine the range value of lost data.
