Abstract

The invention discloses a speed prediction algorithm for an automobile navigation. The speed prediction algorithm comprises the following steps of: (1) establishing a prediction system model for the vehicle speed; (2) determining a state quantity initial value and a covariance initial value of the prediction system model for the vehicle speed; and setting a desired initial value and a variance initial value of the process noise and the observation noise of the prediction system model for the vehicle speed; (3) calculating an updated state volume point and a predicted and measurement volume point propagated by the nonlinear observation equation; (4) calculating the observed noise expectation by using the Sage-Husa method; and estimating the observed noise variance of the system by using theSage-Husa method and the robust method at the same time; and (5) predicting the traveling speed of the vehicle in the future along the target road by utilizing a volume Kalman filtering technology.
