Abstract

The invention provides a handheld current sensor with a magneto-electric composite material. The senor comprises a magnet ring, a sensitive component, permanent magnets and a signal processing signal;the magnet ring is formed by assembling magnetic cores; the sensitive component is composed of a magnetostrictive material layer and piezoelectric ceramic material layers arranged in the two sides of the magnetostrictive material layer respectively; the end portions of certain two adjacent magnetic cores are provided with grooves in which the sensitive component is placed, and the permanent magnets are arranged in the two sides of the sensitive component respectively; an electrode in the end portions of the piezoelectric ceramic material layers is connected with the signal processing circuitvia a lead; and the signal processing circuit processes a voltage signal output by the piezoelectric ceramic material layers and then sends the processed signal to external equipment for display.
