Abstract

The invention discloses a distributed optical fiber level sensing system. The distributed optical fiber level sensing system comprises an optical fiber level sensor, an optical fiber grating demodulator and a bonding device, wherein the optical fiber level sensor comprises an optical fiber and at least two optical fiber long-period grating (LPG) sensors continuously inscribed in the axial direction of the optical fiber; the optical fiber level sensor is connected with the optical fiber grating demodulator through the optical fiber; the optical fiber level sensor is fixed inside a container tobe detected through the bonding device to form an array type optical fiber sensing network and further to determine the level of solution inside the container to be detected on the basis of the arraytype optical fiber sensing network and the optical fiber grating demodulator. The distributed optical fiber level sensing system can not only measure three-dimensional distributed container level information, but also be rapid in reaction and capable of achieving accurate and comprehensive level sensing results; meanwhile, compared with complicated encapsulating manners of electric instruments, reduces the weight of the sensor and eliminate irretrievable losses caused by explosion of fuel tanks due to spark ignition of electric level gauges.
