Firstly, one section ofthe initial end of an input spiral line is changed into a normal gradual change spiral line section, so that an inhibiting effect is played on group delay distortion; then, a uniform spiral section isadded in the front of the added normal gradual change spiral section, so that the initial pitch value of the input spiral line is increased while the group delay inhibition effect is ensured; finally, the loss gain is compensated by extending the length of the uniform spiral section of the first section of an output spiral line. The spiral line provides a new way for group delay inhibition of anexisting space traveling-wave tube, optimizes the gain of the whole space traveling-wave tube, and meanwhile improves the initial pitch value of the input spiral line, thereby improving the matching of the spiral line and an input window and reducing the reflection of input electromagnetic waves.
