Abstract

The invention provides a reference electrode and a use method thereof. Inner filling liquid of the reference electrode provided by the invention comprises ionic liquid dissolved with silver salt; a three-electrode system is composed of the reference electrode provided by the invention, a working electrode and a counter electrode so as to perform electrochemical testing on a to-be-detected solution. The reference electrode provided by the invention can continuously and stably work at any temperature between room temperature to 250 DEG C, is low in temperature sensitivity and can be suitable forthe temperature change environment. The reference electrode provided by the invention is mainly suitable for a non-aqueous solution but not limited to the non-aqueous solution, and also can be used for the aqueous solution by cooperating with a hydrophobic salt bridge. Furthermore, the reference electrode provided by the invention can remain stable in long time.
