Abstract

The invention discloses a Fano resonator for a two-dimensional triangular crystal lattice photon. The resonator is composed of a photonic crystal cavity and a photonic crystal waveguide designed withreflection elements. The cavity structure produces discrete states required for Fano resonance, while the photonic crystal waveguide designed with reflection elements produces continuous states required for Fano resonance; the cavity structure and the photonic crystal waveguide are coupled to produce an asymmetric Fano resonance line shape. The Fano resonance produced by the invention has an extinction ratio of up to 55 dB, and the difference between a peak value and a valley value of the Fano resonance is only 1.4 nm, and also has a high Q value and a low insertion loss. The Fano resonator for the two-dimensional triangular crystal lattice photon is applied to basic photonic devices such as photoswitches, photon sensors and filters in photonic integration.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of two-dimensional photonic crystal devices, in particular to a triangular lattice two-dimensional photonic crystal Fano resonator. Background technique [0002] The Fano resonance phenomenon is an asymmetric resonance line shape discovered by Ugo Fano in 1961 when he studied the scattering of atomic particles in quantum mechanics. The principle of Fano resonance is the coupling of discrete state and continuous state. With the further research on Fano resonance, it is found that Fano resonance not only appears in quantum systems, but also asymmetric Fano line shapes widely appear in optical systems. Compared with the traditional Lorentzian resonance lineshape, the Fano resonance lineshape can change the transmission characteristics sharply in a narrow wavelength range. Therefore, Fano resonance can be widely used in photonic devices such as optical switches, photonic sensors, and filters. [0003] Two-dimensional p...
