Abstract

The invention discloses application of DIO2 in preparation of a medicine for predicting or treating intrauterine adhesion. It is found that DIO2 expression in endometrium of a patient suffering from intrauterine adhesion is reduced, and particularly, epithelial cell reduction is most remarkable. In-vitro results show that DIO2 can effectively reverse EMT of endometrial epithelial cells by converting thyroxine T4 into T3, and fibrosis of the epithelial cells is inhibited. Therefore, DIO2 may play an important role in the aspects of intrauterine adhesion diagnosis and treatment, and can be usedfor clinical diagnosis of intrauterine adhesion and preparation of drugs for treating intrauterine adhesion and other diseases related to uterine fibrosis.
