Abstract

The invention relates to a novel expansive pedicle screw and a revision and fixation method. The novel expansive pedicle screw is applicable to posterior spinal fixation of patients with osteoporosisand revision after traditional screw mobilization. The screw can complete revision through secondary reinforced fixation of bone cement under the condition that the screw is not taken out. The screw comprises a U-shaped tail part, a tail cap, a screw main body, a screw inner core, a push rod and bone cement, wherein the U-shaped tail part and the screw main body are connected in uniaxial orientedand multiaxial universal connection modes; and the screw inner core is designed into solid inner core and hollow inner core. According to different inner diameters of the hollow cylinder of the screw,the far end of the screwed can be expanded by placing an isometric solid inner core, so that the holding force of the screw can be improved. Even the screw is loosened in later period, the bone cement is injected into the hollow inner core to replace the solid inner core, and bone cement can be diffused through side holes of the screw and inner core, and the solid inner core is replaced before the bone cement is solidified to restore the stability of the screw. The method has the advantages of reducing operation difficulty, reducing wounds, accelerating postoperative recovery, cost conservation and the like.
