Abstract

The invention discloses an application of a wild chrysanthemum extract in preparation of a drug or a sunscreen product for preventing and treating photoinduced skin injury diseases. The research results show that (1) a wild chrysanthemum flower extract can prevent UV-induced photoaging damage and skin cancer; (2) the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can significantly inhibit UV-induced skin vasodilatation and proliferation; (3) the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can significantly inhibit UV-induced skin blood flow increase; (4) the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can significantly inhibit UV-induced epidermal atypical hyperplasia; (5) the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can inhibit UV-induced skin ROS level rise; and (6) the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can reduce the UV-induced skin inflammation level so as to inhibit the occurrence of skin cancer. The research results show that the wild chrysanthemum flower extract can play an important role in preventing and treating photoinduced skin injury diseases and preparing novel sunscreen products.
