Abstract

The invention discloses a gene ontology mapping system and method based on JSON. The gene ontology mapping system comprises automatic identification and data extraction of a gene ontology, a mapping mechanism from the gene ontology to the JSON and gene ontology data storage based on the JSON. The method comprises the following specific steps: identifying metadata information in a gene ontology, and obtaining three types of relationship characteristics, namely a cell component, a molecular function and a biological process, as well as three relationship characteristics, namely a parent-child relationship ( is_a ), a partial relationship ( part_of ) and a regulatory relationship ( regulates ), in the metadata of the gene ontology; establishing a one-to-one correspondence mapping rule of thegene ontology metadata characteristics and a JSON model, and completing metadata extraction by adopting a semi-supervised learning method; and constructing a JSON-based gene ontology storage model, and completing data migration from the gene ontology to the JSON. According to the method, the mapping model of the gene ontology and the JSON is established, the problem that the gene ontology data cannot be automatically converted into the JSON data is solved, and efficient data interaction and sufficient sharing of the gene ontology between heterogeneous Web platforms are achieved.
