Abstract

The copolymer consists of 2wt%-70wt% isotactic polystyrene with an isotactic content >75mol% and 30wt%-98wt% high-trans polyisoprene with a trans-1,4-structure content >90mol% . The copolymer adopts a magnesium chloride supported titanium catalyst as a main catalyst, and an alkyl aluminum as a cocatalyst, and is prepared by copolymerizing isoprene and styrene. The copolymer of the invention is composed of isoprene monomer chains and styrene monomer chains with different sequence content and distribution in multiple levels. Adjusting the content of two chain segments in the copolymer can adjust the thermal performance and physical and mechanical properties of the copolymer.
