Abstract

The invention provides a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FTIR) which can easily replace a drying agent and can restrain operation cost for dehumidification. An FTIR (1) is provided with: an interferometer provided with an optical element (beam splitter (103)) having deliquescence; a closed chamber (10) which accommodates the interferometer and has an opening (11); and a desiccant unit (40). The desiccant unit is provided with: a cover part (41) capable of sealing the opening (11); and a box part (42) which is detachably mounted on the cover part (41), has a shape capable of being inserted into the closed chamber (10) from the opening, and accommodates a desiccant (92). According to the FTIR (1), a user can easily replace the desiccant without putting the hand into a sealed chamber; moreover, a desiccant sold in the market can be used, and the cover part can be repeatedly used, so that the operation cost for dehumidification can be reduced.
