Abstract

The invention discloses a wedge-shaped gate stick and an investment casting method. Wedge-shaped faces inclined outwards and downwards are respectively formed on the two outer side faces of a cross gate main body; and compared with an existing design scheme in which the included angle between a gate stick and the end face of a workpiece inner gate is a right angle, the technical scheme of the invention has the advantages that in one aspect, the stress at the joint of the inner gate and the gate stick is concentrated so as to facilitate hammering a pouring cup to fall off from a casting head without knocking on a cast workpiece, thereby preventing the workpiece from being damaged; and in the second aspect, due to the design of the wedge-shaped faces, the mold filling pressure of liquid metal on a to-be-cast workpiece can be increased in the pouring process so as to facilitate feeding and reduction of the hole shrinkage risk. The wedge-shaped gate stick disclosed by the invention is integrally designed to be of a conical shape, is convenient to fall off from the casting head, and is particularly suitable for investment casting of a differential pressure sensor base.
