Due to thermal expansion and cold contraction of gear materials, two kinds of deformation, namely thermal deformation generated under the influence of temperature and deformation generated under the action of contact stress, both influence a gear transmission error. According to the method, after basic parameters of gears and basic parameters of gear materials are known, a gear temperature field under environment temperature changes is calculated through a thermal network method, and then gear thermal deformation is obtained; bending deformation, shearing deformation, tooth root and tooth body deformation and contact deformation of the gears under the action of the contact stress are calculated; and the calculated thermal deformation and the deformation under the contact stress are combined to a meshing line to obtain deformation on the meshing line of the gears, and the gear transmission error under the influence of the temperature is finally obtained.
