Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of a fatty acid transporter CD36 and an inhibitor thereof in the treatment and diagnosis of renal clear cell carcinoma. Researches on renal clear cell carcinoma patients and renal clear cell carcinoma cells find that CD36 is highly expressed in renal clear cell carcinoma and is related to tumor grading. Further over-expression or knock-down of CD36 discovers that CD36 promotes accumulation, proliferation and migration of renal clear cell carcinoma lipid droplets. By using the CD36 inhibitor, the accumulation of renal clear cell carcinoma cell lipid droplets can be reduced, and the proliferation and migration of tumor cells can be inhibited. The invention provides a new thought for diagnosis and treatment of renal clear cell carcinoma.
