Abstract

The capacitor energy storage circuit can be used for a power converter, and filtering and energy storage functions of rectified voltage of the power converter are achieved. The capacitive tank circuit includes a first capacitor and a second capacitor coupled between an input bus of the power converter and a reference ground. Through a series of switches and a control circuit of the switches, when the input voltage is low, a first capacitor and a second capacitor are coupled in parallel between an input bus and a reference ground, and when the input voltage is high, the first capacitor and the second capacitor are coupled in series between the input bus and the reference ground. Therefore, the capacitor with low withstand voltage and low capacitance value can be used for replacing an electrolytic capacitor with high withstand voltage and high capacitance value in the prior art, the overall size of the capacitor is reduced, the power density of the circuit is improved, and the cost of the circuit is reduced.
