Abstract

The resource allocation method includes a media server and at least a decoder, both of which are connected to wideband network. Each decoder includes a media play back mechanism in use for controlling and playing back multimedia program. The said mechanism builds different tables of playing multimedia program for different terminals, and sends the said table and corresponding media content to corresponding decoder. The periodical adjustment, terminal preengages time resources, i.e. through branch definition algorithm for maximum profit, adjusting order for playing advertisement media dynamically to generate new preengaged playing table. Based on the said preengaged playing table, playing program is controlled so as to realize maximized use ratio for free time slices. The invention is applicable to passenger information service system in traffic area to create economic benefit by using free time slices in the system.
