Abstract

Being installed on bus of transformer substation, dedicated integrated protection relay (IR) is connected to current transformer and voltage transformer on all outgoing wires of bus. Combining with new development in traditional protection and protection of power distribution, IR makes up of new protection including three phases: first phase is instantaneous trip unit; second phase is acceleration trip unit implemented by using directional comparison technique of communication channel or technique of non channel; in third phase, based on collected information of fault and direction sent from IR through network, integrated network protection unit sends out corresponding trip command directly. The invention provides quick protection for single sect of wire, as well as integrated protection function for whole system of power distribution.
