Embodiment 1

[0507] To the components described below was added ultrapure water (resistance value: 18 MΩ or more) to a volume of 1 liter. Thereafter, the mixture was stirred for 1 hour while heating at 30 to 40°C. Then, filtration was performed under reduced pressure using a microfilter having an average pore diameter of 0.25 μm. Thus, ink solutions of each color were prepared. Note that the concentrations of the following components are all after preparation (applicable to other recipes below).

[0508] (Light Cyan Ink Solution Recipe)

[0509] (solid component)

[0510] Cyan dye (C-1) 20 g / L

[0511] Urea (UR) 15 g / L

[0512] Benzotriazole (BTZ) 0.08 g / L

[0513] PROXEL XL2 (PXL) (manufactured by Avecia) 3.5 g / L

[0514] (liquid component)

[0515] Triethylene glycol (TEG) 110 g / L

[0516] Glycerin (GR) 130 g / L

Embodiment 2

[0636] Ink sets IS-201 to 210. Except for the Na salts of 1-19, other long-wavelength dyes L of the present invention also satisfy the conditions of λmax and half-peak width of the present invention.

[0637] Note that in Table 5, the viscosity and surface tension of the black ink are shown.

[0638] Table 6 shows the evaluation results performed in a similar manner to Example 1.

[0641]

[0642] As is apparent from Table 6, the ink solution of the present invention is excellent in color tone, fastness and image bleeding.

Embodiment 3

[0644] Ultrapure water (resistance value: 18 MQ or more) was added to the components shown below to make a volume of 1 liter, followed by stirring under heating at 30 to 40° C. for 1 hour. Next, the mixture was filtered under reduced pressure through a microfilter with an average pore size of 0.25 μm. Ink solutions of various colors were thus prepared.

Abstract

Black ink compositions are provided. First embodiment contains a water-soluble long-wavelength dye L and a water-soluble short-wavelength dye S, in which the water-soluble short-wavelength dye S has 3or more azo groups per molecule and a naphthalene skeleton. Second embodiment contains a water-soluble short-wavelength dye S whose absorption spectrum in aqueous solvent has a maximum between 440 nmand 540 nm and a half-band width of 90 to 200 nm and a water-soluble long-wavelength dye L whose absorption spectrum in aqueous solvent has a maximum between 550 nm and 700 nm and a half-band width of 100 nm or more. Third embodiment contains water, a water-miscible organic solvent, and a coloring material, in which C. I. Direct Red 84 is contained as a water-soluble short-wavelength dye S.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a black ink composition (preferably, an image-forming black ink composition (preferably, an inkjet ink composition)) containing an azo dye having a special structure and properties, an ink set containing the composition And an inkjet recording method using the black ink composition or ink set. Background technique [0002] The inkjet recording method has been rapidly popularized due to low material cost, high recording speed, low noise during recording, and ease of color recording, and it is still being further improved. [0003] The inkjet recording method includes: a continuous method in which air drives ink droplets to continuously move; and a response method in which air moves ink droplets according to an image information signal. Ejection of ink droplets can be performed by using pressure using a piezoelectric element; bubbling ink by heating; using ultrasonic waves; or suction using electrostatic force. [0004]...
