Abstract

A heat pump type hot water supply apparatus includes a heat pump unit 2 for heating water, a hot water tank 1 for storing therein hot water heated by the heat pump unit 2, and a hot water supply heat exchanger 10 which is placed substantially over a vertical entirety of interior of the hot water tank 1 and in which water flows from lower side toward upper side. Water that has flowed out from the upper side of the hot water supply heat exchanger 10 is discharged out from the top portion of the hot water tank 1.
