The present invention provides novel compounds, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which are modulators of Cav3 channels, and are associated with abnormal Cav3 channel function or activity. The invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The invention further relates to methods of treating or preventing disorders, diseases and conditions associated with abnormal function or activity of Cav3 channels by administering the compounds, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein. The invention also relates to compounds, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and pharmaceutical compositions disclosed herein for use in methods of treating or preventing disorders, diseases and conditions associated with abnormal function or activity of Cav3 channels.
