The invention relates to a preparation method of a hydrophobic bio-based waterborne
polyurethane coating, and belongs to a preparation method of an organic functional
coating. According to the method, renewable non-grain
plant oil-
jatropha curcas oil (JO) is taken as a
raw material, a clean
oxidation process is adopted, and the
jatropha curcas oil is subjected to green oxidation treatment by utilizing
peroxyformic acid generated by
formic acid and
hydrogen peroxide in situ, so that the
epoxy jatropha curcas oil (EJO) is prepared. Then, through a green
nucleophilic addition reaction, octadecylamine (ODA) is used for carrying out
solvent-free modification on the
epoxy jatropha curcas oil, and the structure-controllable functionalized
jatropha curcas oil-based
polyol (o-JOL) is obtained. The functional
polyol reacts with
isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) to prepare a
jatropha curcas oil-based
polyurethane prepolymer, and then the
prepolymer is dispersed in a water phase through a high-speed dispersion technology to obtain the stable bio-based waterborne
polyurethane dispersion (JPU). According to the preparation method, no harmful by-product is generated in the whole reaction process, and greenization and no
pollution in the whole process from raw materials to products are realized.
